still playing with his hair, no matter how long or short. I get this visual that when he was a little boy, before Mike was born, he’d lay curled up on the couch watching cartoons, sucking his thumb and twirling his hair and he might’ve grown out of thumb-sucking but hair twirling will always be his subconscious comfort.

you are such an asshole if you delete a caption that goes with a graphic or gifset, especially when the caption pulls the idea together

ignore unnecessary negativity. like “you’re too old to go in the inflatable bouncy castle”. don’t listen to things like that. don’t let them control your life. go into that inflatable castle. bounce around all you want. stare intently at the person who told you you couldn’t go in. while bouncing around. the whole time

#it doesnt matter how old you are bouncy castles are still genius.

This is so cool. You nailed it, Noel! There are no words for how well you guys wrote and established those characters and their relationship-not just as best friends, but brothers. They are absolutely beautiful. The detail you both had/have in your writing is completely original to a double act. I’ve never seen anything like it and don’t think I ever will. My respect for both of you literally knows no bounds.

learning to analyze literature is also sort of like the matrix in that once you learn how to see all the patterns, you never get to un-see it.

everything is shakespearean or greek or fairytale or arthurian or jungian.

everything.

and the cake is a lie.

(…or rather the cake is a symbol meant to evoke an idea of cake, specifically cake as a treat, associated with birthdays and dessert and celebrations of achievement, which is why the joke works because you have this cultural consciousness of cake and what cake means and so the game can play with that without ever having to actually tell you what it’s doing because literature is fucking tricky that way)
