Anyone else notice that the numbers on Donald Nevereach spell “BOOPUS” which is what LuxCom was originally going to be called!

also i might be imagining it but didn’t noel say in the pilot he had a quiff but then the got rid of it because it was ‘too elvis?’

No, you’re right about the quiff, too!
Actually there are a couple of things about the episode that make me think that the hut scenes, at least, were pilot/early filming footage:
1. The “Boopus” Little Bombino.  (Which… okay, Noel, I get the symbolism, this show is your baby and it could blow up in your face.  Okay.)
2. Noel’s very Elvis-y quiff, with his sideburns painted in to exaggerate the mutton chop effect—not something we’ve seen elsewhere in the show.
3. Noel’s face make-up is also different from what we’ve seen so far on the show, as well as in all the print ads and PR shoots.
4. No Dolly or Andy last night.  Might just be a coincidence of editing, but it is interesting.
5. Smooth’s look is also different to anything we’ve ever seen him wear.  He’s shirtless!
6. Look at the walls of the hut! What do you see that’s different? The black-and-white swirl, op-art design isn’t there; it’s just grey walls.  I can’t imagine that would have been done for just one episode, or AFTER the black-and-white design was used.
