You know, Joey, when I first saw this episode, I thought of you when it got to this part. ;-)

Because of the gold-plated apple bottom there, or because of the immense woobieness? Either answer is acceptable.

Both, of course! Woobiness is an essential part of Fantasy Man. It’s quite beautiful that he uses the power of imagination to make his own little fantastic world as an escape from the ugly and ordinary… but this is the other necessary part of that experience, when fantasy crashes into reality. Because to everybody outside that fantasy world, Fantasy Man is crazy, ridiculous, freakish. They don’t see what’s beautiful about Fantasy Man’s visions, so they mock him and beat him up and bring him down. Which is very Don Quixote, but it’s also, in a way, quite reflective of Noel’s own personal experiences.
But before that brings you down too much, let me just point out that, thanks to this picture and those leggings, you can see that he TOTALLY has a wedgie here. ;-)

Bluey (noun): a peacocky, cheerful, harmless sort of creature made up of glitter, enthusiasm, and very little common sense. It's very easy to make me happy and quite difficult to annoy me, so we'll probably get along just fine. :D
